Parweld Introduces The Cobot Welding System!
Cobot Overview
What Are Cobots?
Cobots, or collaborative robots, are robotic systems designed to work alongside humans in shared workspaces. Unlike traditional industrial robots, which typically operate in isolation to ensure safety, cobots are equipped with advanced sensors, safety features, and programming that allow them to interact safely and efficiently with people. These robots are often lightweight, flexible, and easy to program, making them suitable for a variety of tasks such as assembly, quality inspection, packaging, and even healthcare applications. Cobots are increasingly popular in industries looking to improve productivity, enhance precision, and reduce the strain on human workers by handling repetitive or physically demanding tasks. Their ability to collaborate directly with humans is transforming workplaces, enabling safer and more efficient workflows.
How Are Cobots Used In Welding?
A Welding Cobot or Cobot welders are collaborative robots specifically designed to assist in welding tasks, combining human oversight with robotic precision and consistency. These systems integrate advanced robotic arms equipped with welding tools, sensors, and programming to perform various welding processes such as MIG, TIG, or spot welding. Unlike traditional welding robots, cobot welders are designed to work alongside human operators safely, thanks to built-in safety features like force sensors and collision detection. They are typically user-friendly, with intuitive programming interfaces, allowing operators to easily set up and modify tasks without requiring extensive robotic expertise. Cobot welders are widely used in industries like automotive, construction, and manufacturing, where they enhance productivity, improve weld quality, and reduce physical strain on workers by handling repetitive or hazardous welding tasks.
Cobot Key Features
- Maximise Productivity
- Ensure Consistent Weld Quality Every Time
- Accelerate Small Batch Production With Ease
- Rapid Return On Investment
- Versatile & Mobile For Small Or Large Fabrications
- Simple To Learn & Operate, User-Friendly Interface
- Advanced Collision Technology For Safe Operation Outside Protective Cages
- Turnkey Packages Available In 240V Single Phase or 400V Three Phase
Cobot Operation
User-Centric Design: Easy As 1 - 2 - 3
Program the Cobot by moving the arm to the required Start/Stop position
Store the points simply by pressing buttons on the torch arm
Set buttons on arm, for rapid program writing, using intuitive tablet interface
Handheld Game Pad Controller allows for precision adjustment
Store Jobs For Later Use
**Program scheduler in use with two weld jobs**
Set jobs up for repeat manufacture, with Start/Stop pendants for small batch manufacture. Program Scheduler enables mixed job batch manufacture using Start/Stop pendants to start each weld cycle. Up to four different jobs can be scheduled.
Touch Sensing Deals
With Parts Variation
Using torch touch sensing, users can accommodate variations in parts, with the Cobot updating the weld position before the start of every cycle
Improved Quality
By integrating the precision of a Cobot and the advanced welding performance of the APT+ pulse MIG machine, users can increase quality and output levels, whilst reducing labour cost, freeing your skilled welders to perform other tasks. Return on investment is typically 6-18 months.
Our system is not just about welding small parts, the mobile table means you can take the Cobot to the job to perform welding on larger fabrications
Weave Control
Operating the weave function on larger fillet welds ensures the weld seam is always spot on as the APT+ welding machine monitors the Arc Voltage to ensure the weld bead stays on track

Cobot Ready To Weld Packages
Our standard packages are designed to meet the needs of most fabricators, we can customise the package if you have any special requirements. We use a high quality welding table with a nitrated surface which resist spatter adhesion and extends its lifetime. Spatter trays are mounted underneath to collect and spatter that falls through the table.
