North Rhine-Westphalia’s excellent motorway network plan makes travel by car easy and comfortable and allows you to enjoy maximum flexibility on site. Take the major Rhine-Ruhr motorways A3, A40, A42 and A52 to reach MESSE ESSEN. The signs for the exhibition centre will guide you easily to our site where you find ample parking spaces. From there, you can reach MESSE ESSEN easily on foot or with the exhibition centre bus.

MESSE ESSEN offers ample parking facilities for visitors travelling by car, including a modern car-park routing system. About 5,000 parking spaces next to the fairground and another 7,000 in the P + R system enable a relaxed visit to the fair by car.

Excellent connections to Düsseldorf Airport enable quick and convenient travel, even from afar. Düsseldorf Airport is only 20 minutes’ drive from the Essen exhibition grounds and is also well-connected by rail. There is a separate information counter for Messe Essen in the middle of the arrivals level of Terminal B.

For executives and specialists from large and medium-sized enterprises, the Essen/Mülheim airport is a convenient alternative. From there, MESSE ESSEN can be reached by car or taxi within 10 minutes.

TO THE FAIR BY AIRPORT EXPRESS

On all trade fair days, the Airport Express bus departs every 30 minutes from the Arrivals level in front of the hall, Terminal A/B bus station 2. The trip takes about 20 minutes.

The Airport Express will take you non-stop to MESSE ESSEN for 25.00 €/35.00 € (and back to the airport).

You can reach Essen quickly by rail – with no environmental impact – and make good use of your travel time. The ideally connected Essen Central Railway Station is a hub for over 120 daily ICE, InterCity, EuroCity and InterRegio connections in all directions. From there, you can reach the Essen Show in only 5 minutes with the Underground line 11.
