Coming this January, Parweld will be kicking off 2025 by attending two exhibitions: the STEELFAB show in UAE, followed by the MACTECH show in Saudi Arabia.

Parweld, who are celebrating their 50th Anniversary, are one of the UK’s leading welding wholesalers/manufacturers of welding products and are delighted to announce its debut into the British Touring Car Championship alongside Árón Taylor-Smith. The UK based company with distributors in over 55 countries is now stepping into the pinnacle of British Motorsport for the 2022 season.
Árón Taylor-Smith is set to take to the BTCC grid for his eighth season. The Irish ace has had enormous success in the series, with multiple race wins & podiums throughout his career and is returning to the grid once again in the Cupra. The Cupra was designed and built by Team HARD ahead of the 2021 season and did not disappoint in it’s debut season as it regularly battled it’s way to the top ten with the Dublin based driver. Now with a season of development under it’s belt and a new engineering team spearheading the project the anticipation is mounting as the package is set to be one to watch this season.
Several of Parweld’s customers work within the Motorsport industry and there’s certainly synergy between the Parweld product range and a motorsport program, a key part of this new partnership will be bringing this to life via unique content over the course of the season and welcoming guests to key race weekends.
New for the 2022 season will be the introduction of the Hybrid regulations, which will see all cars undergo a transformation as the series steps towards a more sustainable future. The championship is set to be as fierce as ever with another maximum capacity grid of 32 cars already confirmed ahead of the opening race at Donington on April 24th . Taylor-Smith’s Cupra is well underway in preparations for the season with the team one of the first to have already carried out some preseason testing ahead of the hotly anticipated first race weekend. A key part of the program will be the opportunity for guests to experience BTCC and see the workings of a team first-hand with unrivalled behind the scenes access.
The BTCC will once again be covered on free live to air TV with ITV4 throughout the 2022 season. The viewership of the series was in excess of 20 million last season and the UK’s most widely followed motorsport series expects similar numbers once again this coming season.
