Parweld is proud to sponsor the KEMP Plod & A Pint
An 8-mile ramble along the beautiful River Severn on Saturday 7th October 2023, from Bewdley Brewery to Upper Arley helping to raise funds for people living with life-limiting illness and bereavement in the Wyre Forest.

The route for your plod
The sponsored walking event begins at the local iconic Bewdley Brewery before heading out along the River Severn – the longest river in Britain. Plodders will take on the River and Rail trail upstream to Upper Arley, before heading back to the brewery for their annual Oktoberfest Celebrations!
All participants will receive a choice of drink on their return and a congratulatory certificate to hang in pride of place at home.
Street Food will also be available on the day (please note this is not included in ticket price and must be purchased separately on site.)
All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Young people under 18 will not be permitted to purchase / drink alcohol. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 you may be required to show ID on the day.
Soft drink options are available.

How you can make a difference for KEMP Hospice
We ask that participating adults try to raise a minimum of £50 sponsorship each and that children simply raise as much as they can. However, there is no limit and EVERY PENNY COUNTS. Your fundraising will help to make a huge difference to people living with life-limiting illness and bereavement in the Wyre Forest area.
DID YOU KNOW?…
- £150.64 could help pay for a clinical nurse for the day.
- £51.40 could pay for a child to receive bereavement counselling sessions.
- £18.44 could pay for complimentary therapy sessions to help patients with symptom control and well-being

Alternatively, a traditional sponsorship form will be included in your sign-up pack.
The entry fee covers the cost of hosting the event, but the sponsorship raised helps KEMP continue to deliver its care and support services across the Wyre Forest.
