Parweld first established the Panther brand in 2012, as the premium line of both their Welding Gauntlet and Handling Glove products. Since then, the brand has expanded with a full line-up of PPE clothing and accessories for all welding, fabrication, on-site and workshop applications. Flame Retardant (FR)
Crafted to withstand the intense thermal demands of active fabrication, the P3788 Panther Welders Jacket pairs surface-treated flame-retardant (FR) protection with an ultra-lightweight, flexible design. The specialised treatment reliably resists ignition, prevents flame spread, and sheds sparks and light spatter—delivering uncompromised thermal safety. By drastically reducing garment weight and improving fabric flexibility, it minimises wearer fatigue and boosts all-day comfort, ensuring operators retain full freedom of movement throughout extended shop use.
The P3788 Jacket features a Flame Retardant Cloth back, for continued safety and protection, whilst adding improved comfort and ventilation in all-day working environments.
Inherently Flame Retardant (IFR)
Engineered with inherent flame-retardant (IFR) technology, these advanced woven and knitted fibers integrate thermal protection directly into the molecular structure of the material itself. Unlike traditional surface-treated textiles that degrade with repeated laundering or heavy daily friction, IFR fabrics offer permanent, life-of-garment safety that will never wash out, wear off, or diminish over time. By incorporating this permanent defense into high-performance yarns, the material maintains exceptional softness, breathability, and physical flexibility, ensuring operators stay cool and agile while benefiting from unyielding protection against intense heat, ignition, and molten spatter.

Anti-Static Material
Within the Parweld IFR range, the fabric contains integrated static-dissipative technology, designed to safely prevent electrostatic discharge in sensitive or explosive atmospheres (ATEX environments).
Friction between garment layers creates electrostatic charges. In standard clothing, this charge builds up until it discharges as a spark. In ATEX environments—workspaces containing flammable gases, vapors, mists, or combustible dusts (such as oil refineries, chemical plants, or grain silos)—a single micro-spark can trigger an explosion.
Rather than relying on temporary topical sprays that wash out, the Panther IFR range incorporates anti-static carbon or metallic-core fibers directly into the fabric grid. These blended compositions form a continuous network across the garment to bleed static charges away from the body before high-voltage charges can accumulate. Instead of sudden, violent discharges (sparks), static is safely dissipated into the surrounding air or grounded surfaces. This dual protection combines thermal resistance against heat and spatter with explosion prevention through spark mitigation.
Hi-Vis Features
High-visibility strips and reflective zip closures engineered into the Panther IFR range and Panther P3805 Handling Gloves to maximise worker visibility in low-light and high-risk job site environments.
Featured within the knuckle protector strip, found on the back of the hand, the P3805 Panther Canadian Rigger Gloves, utilises retro-reflective material, to improve visibility in low-light working conditions.
The P6210 Welder’s Overalls, P3610 Welder’s Jacket and P61xx Cargo Trousers, from Panther’s IFR range , include silver retro-reflective segmented tapes, encircled around the legs, lower arms/upper wrists, body/torso and over the shoulders to provide front and back, all-round 360° high-visibility in dark and hazardous working environments.
High-Visibility Yellow contrasts are featured on Panthers IFR range to ensure standards are met. Included on the P6210 Welder’s Overalls, P6310 Welder’s Jacket, P6410 Polo Shirt, P6510 Sweatshirt and P6610 Knitted Balaclava, within the zips, collars, rating symbols, seams and other aspects/patches on the fabrics.
Kevlar® Stitching
All Panther Welding Gauntlets, Aprons and Jackets feature Kevlar® for the ultimate welding protection. Kevlar® thread delivers exceptional thermal resistance (non-melting) and 2.5× the tensile strength of standard nylon or polyester. Its minimal-stretch design ensures tight, stable seams under extreme tension.
Extended Gauntlets
Panther offers specialised 180mm extended cuffs, exceeding standard wrist-length protection used in high-heat MIG/ARC and other welding/hot work operations. Standard Gauntlets, which usually only have approx. 130mm cuff length, whilst our high-end Panther collection offers an additional 50mm of protection. Keystone Thumb Handling Gloves
Unlike knitted gloves, premium leather handling gloves provide excellent durability for general handling applications, with improved pinch and impact protection.
The Panther P3855 Handling Gloves uniquely offer additional insulation over other Handling Gloves and a Keystone Thumb. A keystone thumb features a set-in thumb sewn in as a separate piece and positioned to provide maximum comfort, enhanced flexibility, and improved dexterity. The separate thumb construction also allows for reinforced stitching, increasing durability in high-wear areas. As the most ergonomic thumb design, it offers an excellent range of motion, superior comfort, and reduced hand fatigue during extended use. Alongside, the added insulation, the Panther P3855 Handling Gloves offer a superior solution for various applications requiring durable yet comfortable gloves for long working days and heavy-duty applications.
Mesh Back Cooling Handling Gloves
The driver-style gloves offer straightforward, durable protection, combined with all-day comfort.
The Panther P3854 Handling Gloves feature an open-mesh breathable fabric on the back of the hand, for improved ventilation and comfort. The back of the glove also includes neoprene knuckle protection to maintain high-impact resistance.

Crafted from 1.2mm Cow Split Leather, these gaiters wear over footwear and trousers to shield lower legs and feet from intense heat, sparks, and spatter. They fit firmly around the leg using the touch and close securing leather strap.
