Building upon the success of our earlier showcases this year with a focused dive into advanced operator safety and next-generation automated welding, on the 6th and 7th of October 2026, Parweld once again, welcomed our UK and Éire customers to our headquarters in Bewdley. This time for the exclusive unveiling of the new Panther IFR Clothing, alongside live demonstrations of APT Forge Pulse Power Source Welding Machines, RBW Cobot Setups and LC Laser Welding and Cleaning systems. Visitors received expert technical insights designed to show how modern workshop safety and cutting-edge welding technology work seamlessly together.
New PANTHER IFR Additions
A major highlight of the event was the launch of the new Panther Inherently Flame Retardant (IFR) PPE Clothing and Accessories line. Unlike conventional garments that rely on chemical surface treatments that degrade over time and through washing, this new collection utilises fibers that are inherently flame-resistant at a molecular level to deliver permanent protection throughout the life of the garment. Designed specifically for demanding welding and heavy fabrication environments, the Panther IFR range pairs exceptional thermal and spark resistance with ergonomic, lightweight flexibility to minimise fatigue. Attendees were able to examine the full range of overalls, jackets, trousers and other protective accessories, experiencing firsthand how advanced safety apparel can provide total protection without sacrificing daily comfort or movement.
Unveiling the Panther IFR range at October's Open Week allowed us to really delve into the science behind inherent flame retardancy. The response to our technical presentations was overwhelmingly positive, with customers recognising the long-term value, safety, and comfort that molecular-level protection brings to everyday workplace safety.
Laser Welding Machines & Cleaning Machines
Our dedicated laser demonstration area gave attendees an up-close look at the impressive capabilities of high-speed thermal processing. Within the protective LC Laser Cabin, the laser welding sessions showcased incredible travel speeds, tight penetration, and minimal heat-affected zones that leave near-invisible seams, significantly reducing the need for post-weld grinding. Alongside the welding displays, the eco-friendly laser cleaning systems demonstrated rapid surface preparation by using targeted laser light to strip rust, oxide layers, mill scale, and paint without chemicals or abrasive media. The technical team ran live comparisons showing how adopting laser processing can eliminate production bottlenecks and streamline entire manufacturing workflows.
Cobot Welding Systems
Also featured throughout the week, were live demonstrations highlighting how collaborative automation is becoming accessible to fabrication shops of every scale. Attendees watched operators use intuitive lead-through teaching methods to program complex welding paths in mere minutes, proving that automated welding no longer requires lengthy programming expertise. The RBW Cobot Arm, paired with the Parweld APT Forge Pulse power source and an Android Tablet Device, delivers consistent, high-repeatability welds across batch production runs, eliminating rework and scrap. The sessions demonstrated how a compact, easily deployed Cobot Setup can handle routine, repetitive welding tasks while allowing skilled welders to dedicate their expertise to high-value, complex projects.
APT Forge Pulse Welding Demonstrations
Visitors witnessed the power of digital arc control during our live APT Forge Pulse MIG/MAG welding sessions. With specialist demonstrations on how advanced waveform control practically eliminates spatter, drastically reducing post-weld cleanup while achieving ultra-smooth bead profiles on difficult materials like aluminum and stainless steel. The showcase highlighted the intelligent programming, which allows operators to rapidly set up and switch parameters with total precision regardless of experience level. Demonstrations clearly proved how Forge Pulse technology drives up deposition rates and maintains tight control over heat input, proving itself as a key asset for high-throughput welding.
Our October Open Week was a fantastic opportunity to connect directly with our customers and show how Parweld is continually evolving. The energy across the event was incredible, especially seeing the strong interest in how our new Panther PPE line complements our advanced pulse, laser, and cobot welding technologies to drive productivity and safety in equal measure.
